Canada Day Celebrations In Toronto

June 19th, 2008

Tuesday, July 1st is a great day for all Canadians to celebrate Canada Day and in Toronto there are many great Canada Day events and activities for the whole family.

• July 1st in Mel Lastman Square at 8:00 PM - come out and listen to some great live music followed by fabulous fireworks at 10:15 PM. This family friendly evening is absolutely FREE!

• Enjoy a spectacular evening out on the water on one of Toronto Harbour Cruises brilliant fireworks cruises. You have no idea how exciting it is to see the fireworks up close and personal. Make your reservations ASAP!

• Bring your chair or your blanket and come out to watch the Ashbridge’s Bay fireworks at 9:30 PM. Take the TTC - Queen East streetcar to Coxwell or Woodbine or the subway to Woodbine and the bus going southbound. Come early to stake out your spot.

• Come out to the Beaches Country Jam Music Festival all day long – from 11:00 AM to 9:00 PM at Woodbine Park, near Lakeshore and Coxwell.

• The Toronto Zoo is celebrating Canada Day in style – where else but in the Canadian Domain. Musical performances by Soli and Rob and their friend Alistair Ant will take place at the Courtyard Stage between 11:00 AM and 4:30 PM. The birthday cake will be served at 2:00 PM so don’t be late!

Downsview Park is hosting its annual Canada Day celebration featuring lots of FREE fun the whole family.

• Canada Dry Festival of Fire at Ontario Place is a positively breathtaking display of world class pyrotechnics choreographed to the world’s best music.

Harbourfront Centre has a full slate of activities for the whole family.
